Happy Birthday, only 40 days late

My dear, sweet, amazing husband had a birthday on December 24th. It was a great day. It always is... Celebrating Sam's life and the birth of our Savior in one day!

I have had a hold up on the blogging. Turns out I had reached my max capacity for pictures. So, I had a dilemma. I purchased some additional storage. I figure it is good back up, because if we ever lose everything... at least I will have some our favorite pics backed up through google. And, well, if google goes, were probably all going.

Back to the birthday.

The birthday started out with some homemade buttermilk pancakes with our favorite: butter pecan syrup. So bad for you.. but so good!
I took lots of pictures of his birthday letter I wrote. One with his presents.
One with his cupcakes AND presents.
And even a few more.
Sam requested the from scratch Strawberry cake I made for Londyn's first birthday party. It was a pretty fab cake... and I have even made another batch since his birthday. (No wonder I am still fat!) His cupcakes and cake look very fem, but he chose the strawberry... which meant pink. There was no dying this fresh butter cream frosting made with real strawberries. No way.

 Smirky, Smirky.
29 will be a good year, I hope. Maybe a slightly lonely one for the both of us. (As we will be separated for a good part of it.)
Our great friends out here in Germany. Nate and Mindy... Bishop, I mean.

I finally snuck in one of the pics.

Sam is a special guy. I feel so lucky to have found him. He is funny, smart, handsome, the best daddy, a fabulous husband, a darn good and sexy (I might add) pilot, healthy, happy and positive. Those are a few good words to describe him. Everyday I check out the window (all day long) when I hear a car drive by... thinking it might be him coming home early. (Can you imagine what it's going to be like when he is gone for almost a year?!) I did that in Alabama too. I love hearing those boots climb the two stories up to our level.

When we were first married, Sam started putting toothpaste on my toothbrush for me. A small, but adorable and thoughtful thing. That is the type of person he is. I never would have thought to do something like that for someone. He has taught me to think differently. And ever since then whoever brushes their teeth first loads the other's brush with paste. He writes me notes, he cleans the kitchen, does laundry, brings home the mail, takes out the trash and recycle, brings me treats, buys me special gifts, helps with the babies during the night, he is good at "acting" interested in everything I say (haha), I could probably go on and on. One time he had a family picture blown up HUGE and surprised me with it. He has gotten very into Italian sodas and very good at making them, just for me. He is whiz on the grill and in the kitchen. He is so fast at making pazookis and anything else he makes. He has gotten into amazon.com, he even tried to join amazon mom. (No longer accepting applicants.) Thank you. He plans special trips, including our trip to the Canary Islands next month! Yay! (Don't get me started on a bathing suit 3 months post-partum. Ugh!) Yesterday he brought me home a new pair of earphones to workout with... they are so amazing I can't hear anything when they are in my ears... even when my music isn't on.

Like I said I could go on and on. Most of all he is loving, sweet and just plain good.

Happy 29th Birthday, Babe.... only 40 days late.
